Counting Down

Two weeks from today I will be on a plane to go home. I have been looking forward to this since I got here not that I just miss my family because I do but it is going to be closer to my wedding day.  Everything is going pretty good here even though we don't have the jeep back, it is getting worked on and we are not paying for it. Driving on Fort Hood is extremely dangerous I mean I know first hand but there were just two accidents here before 12:00 now that is pretty bad.

Last Sunday we finally found a church that we liked. Chase liked it so much that he is even thinking about taking classes to get baptized which I think is great. We both signed up to volunteer for vacation bible school which starts in mid july. I think it is during the day so I am not sure if Chase is going to be able to do it or not but it was nice that he was willing to. Also when I get back I should be starting school soon which is really exciting for me since I have been staying at home everyday since we got here in February.

Although I have been learning to fill my time better with being more productive. I just finished my book that I thought was so good well it turned out that the ending kind of sucked. I have picking up new hobbies. I actually went to the library today to get another book to start, angels and demons. I think it will interesting since it is by the same guy that wrote the da vinci code.

Next week around this time, chase and I will be on a couples retreat with his unit. The Army is paying for everything, we just have to drive to Austin and why pass up free. Recently I joined a group on facebook for the Army Wives of Fort Hood, and they meet up every couple of days. I don't know why but I was turned off of this maybe because I know I am not going to be here very long or I think it is weird that people have been here for like six years and still do not have friends. I rather meet people by doing things like church or work or just going out. So I decided not to do it, I kinda of feel like I have been here for almost six months with just Chase why can't I go another six. But on the bright side maybe with this couple retreat I will be able to meet more of the people that Chase works with, so I can put names to faces.

I think I am going to go and read my book since the next thing on tv is wife swap and I hate that show. Then I get to pick up my love and possibly go to the movies or go to the pool.

Oh yeah TWO WEEKS BABY!!! WOO HOO

Hello Goodbye

This week as gone by so fast. It was so nice seeing a familiar face around and best of all it was my cousin Kim. We did a lot in a week, mini golf, movies, went out to eat (too many times lol), swam in the lake, and went to the pool. We had our rough moments but everything turned out for the best. Sadly I have to take her to the airport tomorrow so she can go home but she said she definitely wants to come back down again. Another good thing is that my best friend Kim is saving her money so her and her daughter can come down to visit. I can not believe how fast time has gone and I thank God everyday for that. Once I take Kim tomorrow then we only have a few more weeks until I get to go home and see everyone and then the wedding! I can't wait, since it is getting closer I am getting more and more excited everyday.
Today's heat index was over 100 degrees it was extremely hot so me and Kim thought it would be a good idea to go to the pool they have on post. Well me being pale I put on sunscreen and Kim who has darken skin didn't. She ended up getting really burnt and I am just pink but it is still sore. I also discovered the new way to do a cannon ball, when you are in the air you grab one leg and keep the other one straight, apparently it makes a bigger splash. Really I think the fat guys won that one.
Well since it is Kim's last night here we are going to drink a little bit and and play Uno since she has lost every time we played. What a Friday Night!
